Minnesota averages 44.5 tornadoes a year (1996–2025), about 3.7 of them rated EF2 or stronger.
70% of them touch down between June and August, and June alone accounts for 31%. The busiest year on record in that span was 2010, with 111.
Storm reports average about 384 for large hail a year (35.4 of them 2 inches or larger) and 416 for damaging wind (2016–2025).
